Dr. Peggy Kistler started at Cedar Ridge in January 2019. She has practiced veterinary medicine for 31 years. She is a graduate of Kansas State University. Dr. Kistler also helps out at the family farm where she and husband, Mark, have fall and spring calving cows and row crop farm. Katie, her oldest daughter, works in graphic design in Vancouver, Washington. Carrie, her youngest daughter, works in the IT department at Eco Labs in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Amber joined our team in June of 2016. She recently graduated from Colby Community College in May of 2023 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing. In 2020 Amber earned her Fear Free Certification which allows her the knowledge to practice providing the best care to her patients’ physical and emotional wellbeing. Amber has been married to her husband, Brad, for almost 12 years and they have 2 little boys, Carson and Bentley. She has 2 dogs and 1 cat, Piper, Remi, and Pita. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family.
Allison was raised in Atchison, Ks. She joined our team in October of 2018 and loves interacting with all of the patients and clients that visit and assisting in surgical procedures. Allison is currently attending Colby Community College for Veterinary Nursing and is in her final year. She has been married to her husband, Jake, for 12 years and has 2 wonderful children, Jessi and David. Allison has 3 dogs and 1 cat, Dixie, Tater, Loki, and Tweek.
Jade joined our team in December 2019. Before her time at CRVC Jade worked at two different animal care-related jobs in Lawrence, KS, which led her to become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer in 2018 through CCPDT. She is currently working on maintaining her dog trainer certification through continuing education. Jade will also begin taking classes for Veterinary Nursing in January 2021. When she is not at the clinic or training dogs, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, but most importantly, her 3 Heeler mixes; Heidi, Holly, and Harper.
Sarai is from Atchison, Ks and graduated from Atchison high in 2017. She joined our team in April of 2023 and loves it! In Sarai's spare time, she enjoys building with Legos, spending time with her boyfriend, watching Netflix, and playing with her dog, Luna.
Hanna is from Axtell, Ks and graduated from Kansas State University in 2022 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Hanna joined our team in May of 2023 and enjoys working with large animals, especially cattle. In her spare time, she loves going on outdoor adventures, working cattle, watching Netflix, and playing ukulele; of which she can play a MEAN Mary had a little Lamb!
Katie is from Atchison, Ks. She attended St. Paul Lutheran High in Concordia, Mo and graduated in 2011. Katie joined our team in March of 2023 and loves it! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters.
Rhonda was born and raised in Atchison, Ks. She joined our team in November of 2021 as our receptionist and enjoys her everyday interactions with our wonderful clients. Rhonda and her husband, Steve, have been married for 35 years and have 2 children, Cameron and Brenna. In Rhonda's spare time, she enjoys singing in her church choir and hanging out with her family, dogs, Cocoa and Tipper, and her granddogs, Joji and Zara.
Nancy was born and raised in Atchison, Ks. She joined our team in March of 2023. Nancy and her husband, Mark, have been married for 42 years and have 2 children, twins, who are 32 years old. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her grandson, Maximus Michael, who is 4 years old, and relaxing in the pool when she can.
